Can you believe it’s like two weeks until Christmas?? Have you started wrapping gifts or picked up stocking stuffers yet? I always wait until Christmas eve to wrap (not on purpose, it’s a horrible flaw of mine lol, and then I’m up so late trying to finish it all up). I get my shopping done early and then procrastinate the rest lol.
I feel like December has FLOWN by though. We’ve had such a great winter (I mean it was -45c the other day so, there’s that) but we had a beautiful, warm fall and the prettiest November. I actually don’t even mind the insanely cold temps we get here. The sky is always so blue and frost covers everything so even though you can’t breathe outside lol, it’s beautiful!
I gathered up a whole bunch of cute stocking stuffers for you, in case you have to grab some still! There’s a ton of ideas, especially for us girlies, literally anything from Sephora, anything cute, HomeSense is a gold mine. I swear, women are the easiest to fill a stocking for! Stocking stuffers have always been my favourite. My parents (well, my mom, let’s be serious lol) always had fun goodies, little treats, a rolled up magazine and cute things for us tucked into them and it was like opening up a whole bunch of mini presents after the gifts were opened up. I loved it and I hope my kids will feel the same!
A little trick I like to do is to wrap some of the little things too, like if something is more ‘gifty’, I’ll wrap it up so it makes it just that much more fun. I’ll share what I bought for the kids on my Instagram today too if you want to check those stories out. I have everything saved to my Christmas highlight as well for inspo. Let me know below if I missed anything that is a must though, thanks for reading!
Here’s what I put in my kid’s stockings this year. I always add an orange and some candies too (I’m actually going to tuck in some freeze dried candy, so fun and we’ve never tried it before). I’ll probably pick up a couple things because I can’t help myself. I’m thinking giant candy canes and maybe some bath stuff.
My son has fidget toys, comic book, card protectors, hockey cards, chocolate bar, Mario lego, slime bath bomb, sleeping eye mask, hockey pen, bey blades and I’ll add in a couple other little things and some candies too.
My littlest has the smallest stocking but, I’m trying to reduce ‘stuff’ and clutter so just tucking in a few things she will use. Bubble bath, some cute headbands from Wildflower Mercantile (the little mouse is from them too!), some snacks and a swimming turtle bath toy.
Lastly, in my daughter’s stocking I found a cute Barbie pop-it, mini magic pixie, handheld mirror, Lip Smackers, hair clips, bows, magic marker and paper, foam bath soap, pokemon cards, cloth doll, play makeup, earrings, some chocolate and a little doll.
PS I found a good majority of their stocking stuffers at the Dollar Store. Especially Dollarama, they’ve honestly stepped it up so much. I always get their art supplies from there, the cheap real makeup is great too because it’s honestly better quality and it’s regulated (unlike kid’s play makeup). The Pokemon cards are from the Dollar store too, you can get a 5 pack for $1.25! The clips and earrings are from Claires, I ordered a few things off Amazon as well. Here’s a link to my Amazon shop, I have a bunch of gift ideas posted there as well!
