DIY Mini Greenhouse Project For Kids & Toddlers

mini greenhouse kid's activity |fun summer project!| // A Dash of Mum Blog

I’m so excited about this little greenhouse activity M and I started.  I thought it would be fun to show him how plants grow and to watch these little seeds (hopefully) sprout up.  This was an easy little gardening project that we started a week ago and is a perfect kick off to summer.

I bought a little greenhouse kit at the dollar store for a few bucks and honestly, it’s pretty great.  The little soil pods expanded with a bit of water, then we popped some different seeds in (zinnia, tomatoes and squash) and put the top on.  I placed this on Lo’s window sill, since it gets a ton of afternoon sun.

M was so excited to watch the soil pods expand after watering, this will be really fun to watch the plants grow.  For reference, he’s two years old and a bit, so this is a great activity for kid’s of all ages and so inexpensive.  Try it out and if you do, share on social media and tag me @adashofmum ! I’d love to see it!
