Stockings are always so fun and one of my favourite things. As a kid, my parents didn’t go crazy or overboard but our stockings were always filled to the brim with little odds and ends and it was so exciting opening them up. We always saved them for after Christmas gifts because then when everything was over and done, we would look over at the stocking like yes! There’s still more! When did you open stockings up at your house?
I typically follow the same easy formula for stockings every year,
we add in some goodies plus things that are useful like a tooth brush if they need a new one or whatever lol. I also love to wrap little things up, so it’s a bit more special and feels more like gifts too! My son is 6 for reference and this is what I’ve bought for his stocking:
- SpiderMan watch (I accidentally wrapped it before taking the photo)
- jelly beans
- chocolates
- hot chocolate (I love these fun colour changing ones you can buy)
- sleeping eye mask
- bath bomb
- pokemon cards
- hot wheels
- christmas orange
- candy cane
I might add in a few more little things like some art stuff or a bubble bath or something. I don’t know, stockings are so fun and I love all the little things you can stuff in there.
I have a few more ideas for you too!
These are super gender neutral and can really work with boys or girls. I did make a girl’s specific stocking stuffer list here as well with easy and affordable gift ideas, plus I’m sharing what I’m including in my daughter’s stocking. Read that here!
- bubble bath
- toothbrush
- toothpaste
- fun character bandaids
- gum
- comic book
- mini skateboard (like these ones, so fun)
- crayons or markers
- colouring book
- mini lego men
- mini playmobile
- hot wheels car
- socks
- toque
What do you add to your kid’s stockings? Let me know below I would love to see! I hope you have a wonderful Sunday and happy December friends!
