I just shared my stocking stuffer picks for my son in this post, along with a ton of great stocking stuffer ideas that aren’t candies or chocolates. They’re obviously all gender neutral and would work for girls or boys! Like I mentioned in that post, I LOVE stocking stuffers and shopping for them. It’s so fun collecting little things and odds and ends and how much fun is seeing a stuffed full stocking Christmas morning?? It was always so exciting.
In our family growing up, we opened presents first
and then once those were all done it was like a mini second wave of gifts because we had our stockings to open up! My mom (and dad but you know it was mom that did it all lol) always stuffed them full of goodies. They weren’t anything crazy but things like a magazine, toiletries, fun little trinkets and small gifts and sweets. It always felt extra special all tucked away in the stocking.
Here’s what I have so far for my daughter’s stocking, she’s 4 for reference.
What’s in my daughter’s stocking this year:
- small stuffed mermaid doll
- jelly beans
- chocolates
- kids jewellery (this is the one I bought for her)
- hot chocolate (I love these colour changing ones for their stockings)
- water paint book
- slippers
- bath bomb
- Christmas orange
- hair ties and clips
I plan to add in a few other small things too for her, I usually grab things while I’m out doing some last minute shopping or errands. It’s tough because they’re almost always with me so I’ve been forced to get extra creative when buying things for Christmas and they’re tagging along lol. I find it makes it extra special when you wrap some of the stuff as well. I like to wrap anything ‘gifty’ for my kids, so the slippers, jewellery, book and doll will be wrapped and everything else will be as is in the stocking.
I have some other ideas for you for stocking stuffers too!
These are just fun little things. Tucking in usefull every day items is a great way to fill a stocking so it’s not all toys and treats but the kids love them too. Like bandaids, my husband always laughs at me but we need them and the kids think it’s fun to have their own little box and it’s a favourite movie character or whatever. So I like to include them!
Anyways, here’s some more stocking stuffer inspo for you!
- art supplies like crayons or markers
- stamps & ink pad
- cute tights
- knee high socks
- nail tattoos
- nail polish
- stickers
- bubble bath
- toothbrush
- toothpaste
- fun character bandaids
- lip balm
- pretend makeup
- cute socks
- headband
- bows
- small dolls, like little Calico Critter figurines or something little like that – you could split them up too, so a few in the stocking
- barbie clothes or accessories
- small lego set or lego men
There are tons of great little ideas like this, feel free to share your favourites that you add in your kids stockings below! I would love to see! Check out my post with stocking stuffer ideas for little boys here, and let me know if you like these quick little gift guide type of posts.
(I had meant to share more guides this year but, like with a baby and two little ones just has me running on empty with little free time lol. They’re super fun to create but time consuming to put together tbh so I just didn’t get around to it. Stocking ideas like this though, totally my jam! So let me know!)
I hope you have a great Sunday and happy shopping!
