I’ve been on a project tear the last few weeks. I think my quickly-approaching due date has me in a panic about all the things that I want to finish up before the baby is born. Some things are important (like finishing up the laundry room), but most are aesthetic type projects lol. Things that I don’t think I’ll have time to tinker with when my baby girl arrives.
One of those little projects is this lovely fabric garland I made for M’s room. His room has been slowly coming together, but his walls always felt unfinished, hence the reason I have moved pictures and shelves to every, single, wall (my poor hubby and those nail holes!). This little project made his room instantly feel complete though, it adds a cozy feel and brings the room together, so yay!
Another bonus is that it was totally free; I have a large fabric stash that I dug though, and was able to use up a bunch of fabric and ribbon that I had. I picked out some blue, white and grey fabric, along with whatever ribbon I had that I wanted to include.
I cut the fabric into strips (mine were approximately 24″ long and 2″ wide) and laid everything out in front of me.
I cut a piece of ribbon the length that I wanted my garland to be, then started looping fabric strips on. I tied on ribbon strings periodically too.
This took no time at all, I whipped it together during M’s nap in about 15 minutes.
I love how it looks! It’s so fresh and pretty 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
I have been working on another ribbon craft for my baby girl’s nursery… I’ll be sharing that soon as well 🙂
