This year I kept fall decor to a minimum. I have a few tubs full of cute pumpkins, spider webs and black crows but, it’s been a super busy year and everything has felt so chaotic I wanted to keep my home somewhat a calm space.
I obviously picked up a bunch of mini pumpkins, along with a pretty pink heirloom pumpkin to decorate with. Some cute decor I found at HomeSense made it’s way into the house and then I swapped out our throws and pillow covers for something a bit moodier.
Personally, I always love decorating with natural elements for fall, it’s really simple, doesn’t feel too cluttered and still feels festive.
Starting in the living room, I brought out some cozy throw blankets, switched the pillow covers to my velvet brown ones and added a few seasonal pillows I ordered this year.
The candle sticks are vintage, they’re very old from my great Grandparents. I love that I can see old wax from decades of use on them and that they have a beautiful aged patina.
I don’t know which fall/Halloween pillow is my favourite but the ghost pillow and my pumpkin pillow are definitely at the top. So cute! The little ghost garland is a DIY and one of my favourites. Find that post here.
I honestly didn’t do much this year and the living room shelves we’re given a pumpkin and that’s it.
Do you guys remember when letterboards were all the rage and Instagram was flooded with letterboard quote posts? LOL idk I still love mine and have it hung up. It doesn’t get changed too much anymore, usually just a few times a year with a new season. It’s still cute though, I don’t care if they aren’t a thing anymore.
Our kitchen is kept simple, as always. I love these little pumpkins I found at Superstore. They had a few sizes and I think they’re just darling. They light up but, it’s a garish rainbow light in neon colours, so we leave her dark.
Every season I will buy a new mug. I really shouldn’t because we have limited coffee cup space but they’re so hard to resist and HomeSense always has the cutest selection, that’s where I bought this little ghost mug.
I hope you enjoyed this cozy but minimal fall home tour. I’m honestly just happy I have it live before fall is over lol, I tend to post these late for some reason. Let me know if you enjoy little home tour posts though, they’re fun to do and I enjoy creating them! I hope you have a great Monday, thanks for stopping by 🙂
