Isn’t this the cutest little pompom rope basket? I love how fun it is and it’s the perfect pop for my daughter’s room.
There are a ton of tutorials for making rope baskets on Pinterest, and since these are only small baskets, it wouldn’t take long to make one by hand. I actually found small rope baskets at the dollar store so of course, I went with the easy way out lol. The dollar store that carried these were The Dollar Tree, and they had two sizes; one like mine, and one taller, narrower basket (which I was hoping to snag, since they would make the cutest plant pot, but they were all out of that size). The baskets were $4 each.
This DIY is literally the easiest but sometimes these posts are fun for inspiration, so I always share them no matter the skill level 🙂
I grabbed a bag of pompoms I had and sorted out which colours I wanted to use…
Then I glued them on with a dab of hot glue, working my way around the basket, evenly spacing them.
A few pompoms turned this boring rope basket into the cutest little book basket for my daughter’s room!
How adorable! It’s going to hold little books on her dresser, but would be cute for a headband/bow catch all, or on her shelf holding little items. If I was able to make the taller, narrower basket, I think it would be perfect for a plant basket as well.
Also who else loves the Little Pookie series? I’m obsessed with those little books, they are the cutest!
